Scrub a dub dog! A year later, the same guy who wrote "Scrub A Dub" is still singing (sort of), performing an all-new cover version of "Scrub A Dub". This time, though, the "Dub" part is more of a "Dub-ish" part. As he told me when I asked him why he sings "Scrub A Dub" when he also sings "Scrub A Dub Dub", the answer is simple: to show the world he's still alive and willing to kick ass, and also as a way of promoting his album, which is also called "Scrub A Dub Dub" and features his version of "Scrub A Dub". You see, in the last few years, the Dub community has been a bit, well, dead. The music scene has just been too busy or too "alternative" for Dub fans. With a few exceptions, the only way for Dub music to reach the public has been via MP3 downloads. This has been, unfortunately, the case for a whole lot of great and inspiring artists. For instance, a Dub lover who was looking for something to download one day was so dismayed to find that there was literally nothing that was truly Dub-like out there that he or she could find. So, to combat this problem, the man behind "Scrub A Dub" has put together a new Dub album and decided to do a cover of one of his most popular songs, and this time he sings it "Dub-ish".

This is "Scrub A Dub Dub". But it's not really Dub. It's just a Dub-ish mix of "Scrub A Dub". However, it's not bad. It's not the worst song that I've heard all year, for sure. It's really great to hear an artist continue to push the Dub scene forward. If you want to hear the original "Scrub A Dub" version of the song, go listen to the official record version by Ballyska. The original version is included on the Dub Volume 2 compilation that I co-wrote. You can listen to it in its "official" form by simply clicking here.

I'm glad that I wasn't just blowing smoke up everyone's arse, and I'm glad that I wasn't the only one in my class who was a fool. At least, that's what I'm telling myself now that I'm a little older and a little wiser and a little more jaded. You see, during the last few years I've heard all sorts of excuses for why people never got along with one another:
